AFRICA
by JKR

Africa is hot
I like it a lot
Mosquitoes I hate
Lots I ate

Matooke and fish
An excellent dish
Lots I saw
It was like a tour

The monkeys would take
My sweets and my cakes
Climb up a tree
A distance from me

Lions would roar
And scratch with their sharp claws
Hippos would spray
And show their teeth all day

Crocodiles would sneak
At the surface they’d peek
Giraffes have long necks
To reach the trees’ leaves

I guess
I loved the culture
And it was a treasure
To see most of Africa
Was a wonderful matter
