AIMS OF THE ORGANISATION
Centre for All Families Positive Health (CAFPH) is a charitable organisation providing support, assistance, advice, information and various other activities to people affected by HIV/AIDS, to combat isolation, fear, stigma, prejudice, improve and enhance the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS, promote sexual health and HIV/AIDS awareness in the community and in other agencies and raise aspirations of people living with HIV/AIDS through empowerment, support, enhancing self-esteem and general wellbeing. CAFPH works with communities, the voluntary and statutory sector to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, promote volunteering and offer volunteering opportunities to students and the wider community.
OBJECTIVES
CAFPH provides: a safe and supportive environment for men and women to discuss issues affecting them. Appropriate information and advice on a range of issues related to HIV/AIDS i.e. treatment, adherence, nutrition, pregnancy, safer sex and general sexual health, referrals to appropriate agencies, crèche facilities during activities, dedicated children’s service to relieve child carers, social networks to relieve isolation through social events, outreach services e.g. home and hospital visits etc., volunteering opportunities both for clients and others, peer educators and positive speaker’s programmes for health promotions and peer support and counselling, partnership work with other agencies, training and education for clients, volunteers and other agencies.
